The FRP Hexagonal Rod Pultrusion Mold is specifically designed for manufacturing FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) pipes. It utilizes the pultrusion process, which involves pulling fiber material impregnated with resin through a heated mold, resulting in the formation of pipes with a specific hexagonal rod-shaped cross-sectional shape and size. FRP pipes offer numerous advantages, including lightweight construction, high strength, corrosion resistance, insulation properties, and fire prevention capabilities. As a result, they find wide applications in various industries such as electric power, chemical, construction, transportation, and more.
1. The fibrous material, such as glass fiber or carbon fiber, is unwound from a reel and guided into the resin impregnation tank.
2. The fiber material is then passed through a preforming device, where it is shaped and arranged according to the desired configuration, before being directed into the mold.
3. Inside the mold, the fiber material is subjected to heat and pressure, causing the resin to transition from a liquid to a gel state, and ultimately solidify into a rigid plastic form.
4. With the assistance of a pulling device, the cured FRP pipe is drawn out from the mold and subsequently cut into the desired lengths using a cutting saw.
Fiber Material: The physical properties of FRP pipes, including strength, stiffness, and weight, are influenced by the type and content of fiber materials used. Higher fiber content generally results in increased strength and lighter weight. Commonly utilized fiber materials include glass fiber, carbon fiber, aramid fiber, among others.
Resin System: The chemical properties of FRP pipes, such as heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and aging resistance, are impacted by the type and ratios of resin systems employed. A stable resin system tends to enhance durability. Polyester resins, vinyl ester resins, epoxy resins are commonly used resin systems.
Mold: The shape, size, and precision of molds influence the cross-sectional shape and size of FRP pipes, as well as the speed and quality of the molding process. A more precise mold generally results in more uniform molding and higher efficiency.
