An FRP pultrusion machine is a specialized piece of equipment used in the pultrusion process to manufacture Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) profiles. It is designed to efficiently pull continuous lengths of fiber material through a resin bath, shape it using a heated die, and then cure and cut the profile to the desired length.
The pultrusion machine consists of several key components, including a creel system to hold and feed the fiber reinforcements, a resin bath or impregnation system to saturate the fibers with resin, a preforming section to shape the material, a heated die to cure the resin and shape the profile, and a pulling mechanism to continuously pull the cured profile out of the machine.
During the pultrusion process, the fiber reinforcements, such as glass fibers or carbon fibers, are pulled through the resin bath, ensuring complete impregnation with the resin. The wetted fibers then pass through a preforming section to shape the material and remove excess resin. The shaped material is then pulled through a heated die, where the resin is cured and the profile takes its final shape. Finally, the cured profile is cut to the desired length using a cutting mechanism.
